Introducing Unlost: Workspace Cabins in Nature

Unlost Dens are nature-based cabin workspaces designed for deep, creative work. We spoke with founder Kim Slade to explore the inspiration behind their creation, how they’re being used, and what the future holds for Unlost.

What are the Unlost Dens?

Unlost Dens are nature-based workspaces where you can deep work on creative and strategic projects without distractions.

They provide all the proven benefits of being close to nature. Off-grid and secluded, they provide a sense of isolation while still being conveniently close to home, making them easy to incorporate into your regular work routine.

Why did you create the Unlost Dens?

Having spent years taking people into nature on adventures I realised how beneficial it is for clarity and creativity.

As someone with ADHD, I’ve always longed for my own space where I could focus. I’m also obsessed with human experience design and building physical spaces. And who doesn’t dream of having their own cabin in nature they can escape to now and then?

Could you share some of the work that people have done in the dens?

It’s so cool to see our members creating stuff in the Dens. There’s been books written, people record weekly podcasts there and coaches use it for extra special client sessions. We’ve even had some photo shoots and songwriting sessions too.

In general people are using it to do those creative or strategic tasks that they’re just not getting done at home or in the normal office.

What's in store for the future of Unlost?

My vision is to have a global network of unique spaces immersed in nature specifically designed for wellbeing, productivity and creativity.

I want to help thousands of founders make positively impactful stuff, and balance their lifestyle at the same time by connecting to nature and adventure.
