Best new lunch spots in Brighton and Hove

Brighton & Hove is full of amazing places to grab a bite, and the lunch scene just keeps getting better! We asked the Projects team to share their favourite new lunch spots (opened within the last year) – and you’re going to want to add these to your list. Here are some of our top picks – and don’t forget to drop your go-to lunch spots in the comments!

  1. We Love Falafel

Where: 8 Pool Valley

A firm North Laine favourite, We Love Falafel has expanded into the South Lanes with a new outpost that’s just as colourful as its menu. Expect fresh wraps, falafel boxes and big flavour, right in the heart of Pool Valley.

  1. Pink Moon

Where: 52 Ship Street

A café and music venue in one, Pink Moon brings together handmade dim sum and the warm crackle of vinyl. If you’re into spicy sweet bites with a laid-back atmosphere, this one’s calling your name.

  1. Apiary

Where: 50 Norfolk Square

Tucked away in Norfolk Square, Apiary serves up a menu inspired by all things honey. With its wooden interiors and cosy vibe, it’s the perfect spot for a slow lunch or early afternoon drink.

  1. Reading Room

Where: Black Rock, Madeira Drive

A Brighton institution with a new lease of life. The Reading Room has reopened with beachside seating, beautiful interiors, and a relaxed menu that makes the most of its iconic seafront setting.

  1. Curio

Where: 108A Dyke Road, Hove

Don’t let the name fool you – Curio’s food menu is just as strong as its wine list. With fresh, made-to-order sandwiches and a stylish interior, it’s ideal for a grown-up lunch break.

  1. No No Please

Where: 30/31 Preston Street

No No Please is all about bold South East Asian flavours and playful small plates. A must-visit if you like your lunch with a little attitude (and a lot of taste).

These are just some of our favourite new lunch spots that have opened in the past year, so keep an eye out for more from us on this front at projectsclub.co.uk.
