Net Zero by 2030

At Projects, we are fully committed to achieving Net Zero across all our work spaces by 2030. We understand the urgency of addressing climate change and are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint through a variety of ways. Our journey towards Net Zero isn't just about meeting targets though; it's about leading by example and inspiring others to join us which is why we run regular educational events and exciting initiatives to get our community involved, too.

Zero to landfill

Our dedication to energy and waste reduction is evident in our comprehensive range of initiatives and targets. From implementing smart thermostats to managing recycling programmes and maintaining zero to landfill policies, we are continually striving to minimise our environmental impact. Additionally, our commitment to sourcing fully renewable electricity and utilising solar panels on our rooftops further demonstrates our commitment to sustainability.

Sustainable construction

We prioritise the use of recycled materials and responsible waste disposal methods in all our sites. Our building services are designed with environmental responsibility in mind. From the use of non-toxic cleaning products to providing increased bike storage options, we are dedicated to promoting eco-friendly alternatives. Additionally, our ultra-low flow showers offer the luxury of a power shower while conserving approximately 40% less water, further demonstrating our commitment to sustainability.

Planting a tree for every member

As a cornerstone of our environmental stewardship ethos, we've established a meaningful tradition: for every new member who joins us, a tree takes root. This initiative isn't merely symbolic; it's a tangible action with profound implications for our planet's health. By actively contributing to reforestation efforts, we aim to offset our carbon footprint and contribute positively to the planet's health. Social commitments

Our monthly masterclasses, led by industry experts, focus on social impact, sustainability, and supporting people and the planet. These events are free and open to both members and non-members
Each of our sites collaborates with a key charity partner, chosen by our members and team. We also offer 25% discounts on meeting rooms, event spaces, and memberships for all charities
Through our Stakeholder Advisory Board, we identify and address the needs of local communities and key stakeholder groups, providing assistance wherever possible

Celebrating creativity and knowledge sharing

We showcase the work of local artists on the walls of our buildings, providing them with a platform to share their creativity
We’ve created a library corner stocked with resources on social impact, sustainability and entrepreneurship, available for our members and team
We host regular workshops in collaboration with creatives to inspire and upskill our members while supporting local talent

Fostering inclusivity and well-being

All members of the Projects team are trained in Mental Health First Aid to ensure we can support one another and our community. We also have a dedicated suicide intervention trained team member for each site
We’re committed to building an inclusive environment, promoting equal opportunities and ensuring our spaces are welcoming to people from all backgrounds. We are also committed to making our workspaces and digital materials as accessible as possible to all
We provide time for our team and members to volunteer with local charities and social enterprises, strengthening community connections and creating a lasting impact
